
Brenton Spiteri is an Australian-Maltese tenor who has recently appeared as Tin Soldier (Paper and Tin) for English Touring Opera, Beppe (Rita) for Charing Cross Theatre and as the featured tenor in Awakening Shadow for Sydney Chamber Opera. He holds an Artist Masters (Opera) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music (Hons.) from the University of Melbourne.
In 2021 he played Conte Alberto (L’occasione fa il ladro) for British Youth Opera at Opera Holland Park. He was awarded the Basil A. Turner Prize for this performance. Other recent highlights include Beppe (Rita) for Guildhall Opera and Narciso (Il turco in Italia) for Longhope Opera.
He has performed as a principal artist for Pinchgut Opera, Victorian Opera, Opera Queensland, State Opera South Australia, Melbourne Opera and the Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras.
