Eljo Agenbach is a Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice hinges on her extensive background and training as a classical musician. A clarinet performance graduate of the University of Western Australia (2019) and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (2021) with many accolades to her name, Eljo’s artistic practice to date is heavily informed and inspired by her deep love for music in all its forms. Her visual art collaborations include portraiture and album art commissions from the choral group Voyces (Perth, WA), Australian clarinettist Lloyd Van’t Hoff (Melbourne, VIC) and previous engagements with the Brisbane Music Festival. Eljo’s constantly evolving visual art style is heavily influenced by her experiences with music-related synesthesia, as well as abstract art and modern impressionism. As a photographer, she draws inspiration from nature and humanism to present new perspectives on everyday people, objects and scenery.
